I think you remember my reaction a few weeks ago when i looked at your tires...
I love that profile of them...im runnin 50s and i think 55s might be a bit better astetically.

I was looking at the hose that runs from the drivers side of the radiator area, to just under the nose of the supercharger - it's housed in a larger diameter corrugated black hose - only the little bit by the hose clamp that is visible looks like the hose you might have attached to your kitchen sink fixture that has the spray nozzle. Wait... I reread your post...now I'm confused. I believe that what I am describing above is what you pointed out as being your intercooler tube...but you also mentioned that you weren't utilizing a conventional plate-style IC. Is that IC tube just ducting for air coming from the nose of the car into an array of veins in the integrated LIM, thus acting similarly to the coolant passages cast into the block? Am I making this overly complicated?
..and what I was also confused about (yes, I'm sure you're right), was what I though may have been an open-air element...it's what is sitting to the right of the valve cover and in front of (closer to the nose of the B) the apparent (upper?) radiator hose.
It all sounds rather fantastic - was this intercooler project a one off? If it isn't a plate, how is it cooling the incoming pressurized charge? Water injection? NO2? Penguins?
Do you have more pics of parts and assembly?

Check Performance and Bainstorming for the intercooler, and the Your Ride topic from a couple weeks ago (West coast Mini-Meet) for the install. You'll get how it works real quick. ;)

There are no plates in the design. Tube/Fin core hidden inside the LIM only.

Clever.
Thanks, Will!

Looks a lot better than it did a few weeks ago, now it is time to get some road grime on it. You know, the rubber kind.

That's not a decal. That's paint. Under the clear.

Matt, I'm STILL washing rubber off the car.
