The Joys of Parking on the Street
I walked outside of my house this morning to go to work, and what do I find? Someone smacked into my car last night while I was sleeping. So now I have a huge crack and a visible hole on the drivers side of my rear bumper. Since I only have liability I'm stuck payin for it by myself. What do you guys recommend? Should I check out the junkyards or am I gonna have to go to GM directly? Anyways, I'm pissed. What should I do?
I would try a junkyard first. Since yours is a '94 there should be some parts availble there for you. If you go thru somewhere like gmpartsdirect.com you can get the parts at a descent cast (usually) and then just have it painted to match. The dealer or a body shop will charge you quite a bit to replace it. Is there any chance of repair or replacement?

I fergot to mention. I live in Chicago, and the rims are off for the winter. Therefore, I drop the coverage to liabilty for the winter. Sorry to scare you guys. hehe. Later
That'* exactly why I don't park on the street, even for 10 minutes. I haven't parallel parked for the almost two years I've had my car. Can't trust anyone. If I park in a lot I usually take up 2 spots (if I can get away with it
). I know, some people may call me an a**hole for it, but I park far away from where I'm going to avoid people who may hit it. I didn't get a scratch on it until this accident last Friday. $2,159!!! Thank God I have good coverage!
Eventually I may get stripes, thinking black or gold. Definetely will draw more attention, some of which will be the bad kind. I know I've gotten attention from cops already with my new plates (in my sig)
