OK, Jim asked me to post these on his behalf, so this is techincally not "Your Ride" lol
As some of you know I've been working on a sub enclosure for Jim for the past several weeks and today was the culmination of all the planning and designing, the install!
These are 2 10" Trinity Audio prototype subs, only a few are in existance making this system a little extra special :P.
The face of the box is 3/4" acrylic, and chamber/box structure is all 3/4" MDF. All panels were cut on a freshly calibrated, state of the art CAD panel saw, so everything is EXACTLY square.
The amp is a little Sony guy, which I was surprised to find puts out some serious power for its size.
Now pics:
Before:

Amp switch we installed in the console:

My ride behind Jim'* (so now there'* a Bonne in this thread! lol):

The one thing I will say I loved about the Aurora over the Bonne is the battery is under the back seat!!! Awesome:

All the wires run ready for the box/amp combo:

Box & amp in and all wired up:

Awesome KnuKonceptz 4G speaker and power wire:

Box upright, just before the protective coating comes off the plexi:

Halfway!!!

Finished!

And one last touch, the Aurora 'A' emblem:

Oh yea, we also installed new 6x9s which you can just see the magnets from in this pic:

The performance of this system was way beyond what I was expecting, so I was very pleased, hopefully Jim W will be as well! He'll be by later to comment I'm sure.
I was saddened to let this one drive outta my driveway, since I really like it.

Can't thank Brad enough for all his incredible effort on this project. I was amazed to see the quality of workmanship in the box, everything worked (cept a small line converter) but that was quickly rectified. Met a few friends of Brads, all good guys that were more then willing to lend a hand with the install.
You know, its amazing to know all that work went into getting it all installed in the car, and in one shot...all you see, is 3 wires!
The sound is amazing, not to loud, very smooth and for a 9 year old Sony amp, it really does work great. Thanks to Mike for hooking me up with those Trinity 10'*. If your friend ever makes it big time( ie successful manufacturer that is...), I'll be the first to have them ever installed in a car. Thats pretty damn cool!
Overall, I am very pleased and will enjoy the upgraded audio for a LONG time. Oh and amen to batteries under the backseat, I couldnt imagine the time it would take to get it to the front of the car!

The amount of research and consultation in this box is phenomenal, since this was my first time working with plexi I had consultation from audio installation professionals from literally all across the country, owner'* of high end audio shops, and woodworking professionals, so I could get absolutely everything right the first time.
I took what I felt was best from all of their advice and combined it for the absolute best end product, this thing is both literally and figuratively bullet proof.
There'* tons of damping and sealing on anything that came in contact with the plexi to ensure absolutely NO vibration, and no air leaks.
