A slightly modded L67 easily takes the Northstar. Stock to stock, they're fairly evenly matched. Where'* this little more oomf coming from?

Default Well

They DOHC brings some omff to the table. 32 valves. V8?
Your the one who made me go looking for engine that would fit into my trofeo(E BODY). lol now Im thinkin about buying an eldo(or bonne) and maybe if I have to... ording a northstar from GM (or a wrecker MITE have one). Still need to wait a week before the olds dealer will tell me I need a new cluster, and they dont have any. or they will tell me I need new bearings in my engine. and its 6years off warrenty.

That suggestion was to help solve the motor mount problems with a swap, since the Northstar has been mated to an E body in the Eldorado before. I'm not familiar enough with the Eldorado to be sure. It was just a suggestion.

The L67 delivers it'* torque at a lower RPM, has greater (cheaper) potential for torque, and has better gearing than a Caddy. The L67, besides having a peak torque at a lower RPM, also has a much flatter curve.

Time to realize that a 32valve V-8 isn't always the cat'* meow. A well-built pushrod engine can be pushed alot harder. Even if it'* only a V-6.

I eat Northstars for breakfast with my OLD 1993, with comparitively mild mods.

That red caddy, or one of the 99 or newer bonnevilles. Lotta good looking cars there. Even that 94 SSEi looks sweet.

I think after working this fall and paying some bills and puttin some away for retairment. I should have good 12grand (lol remember I just bought a 03 duramax. lol that was cheap 55grand) left to buy a 5th car. maybe a bit more if there isnt anything physicly wrong with my 92 and I should get 3grand for my 87.
