This last weekend was the IL grand prix club mod day on Saturday and track day on Sunday at US41. Big thanks to those that planned this and to INTENSE for being one of our sponsors and coming out to IL and hang out and racing with us.
MOD DAY- Was at a machine shop were the IL intercooler is made at, took a little tour of the HUGE shop. There were 35-40 cars through out the day, the Intense crew was there with 3 trailered cars, BADSSEI, the TURBO GP, and Chris Greens MP112 beast. I had no mods to do other than to change a burnt turnsignal, I did wash my car in the dock and thew a layer of Zaino on there, got to look good at the track.
Has a couple of cold ones too.

My new buddy here, ILGPC intercooler there in red, don't know which is nicer. Stereo or IC?
Yes that is where his backseat USED to be.

Couple videos, more coming soon.......

RACE TRACK- There where 25'ish cars there, track was open to the public but we had our own bracket racing lanes. A corvette club was there too. This was my first bracket racing and to my surprise I made it to the 4th round where I borke out and finished 3rd place!!!!
came home with $50 at casper electronics. what to get?
All the Intense cars got new PB'* in the 60'* and the ssei moved up the list.
'00 SSEi - Ed Morad - 11.459 @ 117.48 (1.652 60')
'98 GTP - Chris Green - 11.483 @ 117.80 MPH (1.751 60')
and the turbo car, not sure what it ran 10.? I believe, not sure though, but Scott said this "the Turbo Car had a rough day, but nines should still be achieveable within the next 120 days..."

Me at the track

Favorite race of the day... Me VS. Mustang 4.6

Hope you enjoyed these folks.....Digging up videos that people took, post them when they load them.

As for my times...well unfortunatly no new personal best.
previous best slip from last fall with CAI, 3.4, 180 stat and shiftkit
14.736 @ 94.62 60'--2.321
Mods added since, Intense Rockers 3rd gen 1.9'*, CC 105# springs, Oil-Restrictive pushrods, Intense gen2 LSD, Autolite DP104'* and PRJ wires
14.807 @ 93.53 60'--2.267----errrr.
I know weather effects it all and these were HOT laped times, didn't let the car cool down either time at the track, but I Talked with Scott about it and He says it'* the Tourqe Managment kicking in. Hooked up his laptop and showed me the just how restrictive our PCM'* our, their like the 04 GTP'* once you make X amount of tourque the PCM pulls timing big time and slows you down more so than if you didn't have the extra power. BIG thanks to Scott for taking the time to plug me in and explain exactlly how my NEW INTENSE PCM is going to work. oh and for the shirt too.
I'm still learning how to launch the car, power braked to 1800rpm and waited for it to hook up before I went WOT. The Stock RSA tires got to go soon, looking a pretty warn for 30K

It was a blast all in all, looking forward to the next one!

Another reason why I know my PCM is messing with me is that All my times were so close, My launches weren't that consistant either.

Looks like I will be switching to INTENSE very soooooon.
sweet, looks like it was a great day... you must be spinning A LOT because those are sub par 60'* for a warm day... any idea on what the air temp, track temp and humidity was(definitely plays a major role)? did you ice it down between runs??

The takeoff is impressive up to legal speed limits.
As soon as you get up to a major speeds the computer pulls timing or fuel and it feels like you let off the pedal or hit a speed limiter.
Must be part of the SAFETY control.
Definitely a major limitation to faster times.
