Here is the deal..
Your car has the EBTCM - Electronic Brake Traction Control Module, This is the system that controls the ABS and the Traction Control...
Its Possible to have the Traction Control portion fail and still have ABS... But you have neither system.. We have pretty much never seen an EBTCM Fail in any manner.. Usually the problem will be with a wheel speed sensor, or an inlet or outlet pressure valve in the ABS/Traction Pump assembly..
Being that you have a 95 with Traction control, the PCM does not control the EBTCM directly, but the PCM works in conjunction with the system and will pull timing to help you keep traction..
I'm not sure I'd say firestone is the place to tell you that its a total failure and you need a new PCM.. I don't buy their diagnosis at all... I'd take the car to a dealer and have them read and give you the codes, as well as what they feel the issue is...

grr sounds so complicated so seeing my traction control is out is it more likely that one of the failed sensors is in the front? and also whats the difference between the pcm in a 97 and my car on intense it says 97+ 3800 so if i wanted a tune im out of luck?

Totally different in terms of location and Protocol ..
Your car is a OBD1 system using the older programing, but it has the OBD2 connector and Codes... These were the years GM was transitioning into OBD2.... So you have a bit of a freak PCM.. And the intense PCM would not work for you..

check out gmtuners.com Ryan there can re-flash ur mem-cal (chip) for tuning.
do a search fro gmtuners, i doubt you will find a member with a bad experiance. very knowledgable and very customer oriented.

hmm thanks ill be sure to check that out when it comes time to tune her up, im planing on doing a lot of upgrades in the spring when i get my tax return lol. Most likely start with a flow master 80 exhaust, then a 180* t-stat when im done with that i should have around $700 of spending money left any recommendations on what to do? also i ordered myself 2 cans of vht nite shades today and some clear corners too.
