BTW, could someone post an illustration showing where all those little hidden-away interior lights are?

Yup, red DIY window tint, Just cut it into the size close enough, fit, stick, and trim.

There are 10 locales. the 4 doors, the 2 map lights in the front, 2 in the back, and the two foot lights on the bottom of the dash. I'm willing to send some stuff out if you guys can't find it anywhere. Otherwise just come to MN, or wait till Bfest

The roll that I bought (that Jason has now) cost $23.99 CDN, and in theory can do a small car (window tinting).

There is PLENTY for lenses

Actually reading maps and stuff isn't too bad.... red light doesn't destory your night vision... most cop cars and military stuff use red lights.

DIY red tint eh.... where did you get it at Jim?

I know, I've got a (ridiculously bright!) red LED flashlight I use to find my way around -- but one night while driving home from Florida, I was in the co-pilot'* seat reading by my red flashlight (which was hung by its little nylon strap around the sun visor) and my girlfriend asked which highway we were supposed to take up ahead, so I pulled out the map. The highways and their labels were printed in red, and I couldn't even see them, let alone know which goes where. All I could see were (blue) state roads. So my girlfriend laughed at me and I had to turn on the map light. :(

Default or..

Or you can just take a red, or a few red sharpie markers, and color the bulbs and covers and it looks real red and real good for a long time...did all my lights by doing this except for the ones you can purchase red..
