Question, is the paint problem what I think I'm seeing......kinda like some chemical was poured over the hood and trunk and it ate away the clearcoat and started eating the color out of the paint?
my brother has the same problem with his 40TH SSEi -same color as yours. Only he'* kinda lucky.... his only problem area is the left rear door.
I find it hard to believe it was the sun as 99.999999999999999999% of Minnesota cars under 10 yrs old don't have paint probs and his has been a Minnesota car since new.

A new paint job will make that car GLOW in the sun!
