sounds like you used a 3 jaw puller...

I went out and took a picture of the one I have in my tool box. This is not the one I used because this is for smaller pulleys. The one we used is at the shop. But it'* the same style.

Just ordered my PCM from intense. Should have it next week. I will assume this is a stright forward install. A few bolts, remove old one, put new one in, that'* it. I have a 97 so I understand there is no need for a case learn. Really looking forward to getting this installed.
