The plastic is so friggin cheezy!!! Why don't they do the metal grille'* like some of the 04'* had optional? Hopefully it is an option on the GP GXP also.
Overall -the car is just about as ugly as the 04 SE with steel wheels -throw the GXp rims on the SE and the damn cars would look practically identical with the exception of the fender vents and the lower grille with projectors.
You won't catch me in one of those looking like that -IMO my 7 model-years-old and 171k old 1998 SSE has more class -alot more.

I think the new GP'* are ugly, for now anyway. (A redesign always throws me) I actually like that GXP version though just a little better than the proto. The little differences make a whole lot of difference to this car far as I'm concerned.

I don't mean to burst anyones bubble, but the "Bonneville" nameplate is on the chopping block. Would you put money into someting you were just going to discontinue in a few years? G8 is on its way.

5.3L V8 = one heck of an engine. It performs excellent in my friends 5200lb Silverado, I could only imagine what it will be like in a 3600lb car.

Provided GM has solved the piston slap problem that the 5.3 L had in some trucks.

This is ridiculous... let'* get GM back to rear drive, or "right wheel drive" as they say... the GTO is a start, but jeez. We better see a RWD Bonnie in '08, as the rumors have said!

Wait, wait, I got a better idea. Let'* just develop a 1 MILLION h.p. V16, and put it on a unicycle. Yeah, that'll do the trick!

These cars will never be true performers until we see RWD, or at least AWD in my opinion.

There are plenty of GP'* out there that are FWD and pushing over 300HP. And according to the owners, they are fun as hell to drive. With the V8, the performance market is gonna do great things for the GP.

I don't know if i could agree with you on that... The Northstar in the Bonnie doesn't have the output the 5300 does. And the mods for 5300 will be very plentiful..

Very nice car, very nice motor. This will be one of the hot cars for awhile, in my opinion. The new mustang is getting alot of press, but for the FAMILY hotrodder, you cant beat 4 doors, and fwd, for all around driving in bad climates. Don't get me wrong I love rwd,..but practicallity speaks volumes.
