at this location, a cop did pull me over, if you can call it that.. he asked me what i was doing, must have not seen the camera? i said, taking pictures... he said of what? i said of my car... he said for what, are you selling it? i said no, for the sport of it, and why would i take pictures in the night if was going to sell it? he ran my plates and drove off

atleast I am not alone, they look like they throw light forever down the road, but that does nothing for those wonderful animals that may be on the side of the road waiting for a good jog across it.

I've had cops ask me the same thing once...a few years ago...he nodded in understanding.

Don't know if you've tried this yet, but a trick - may require two people:

If you're doing a long time exposure, just briefly have the lights on - just a short little flash, say. The lights will then end up not overwhelming the rest of the pic.

I like the look of the headlights. What type of Bulbs are you running; is there a brand name or just "xenon blue"
