The Final Ride of Badzilla
On September 5th 2003, Badzilla was laid to rest. I was trudging my way down I-95 near Stafford, Virginia, when a tractor-trailer decided to remodel both sides of my car at once...one side with his truck and the other with the Jersey Wall. Needless to say, the car was totaled immediately. No airbags, but it is about 4 inches narrower now. Thankfully, and thanks to GM'* fantastic engineering, I was completely unhurt. The truck driver was making a quick lane change due to some F*@KHEAD RICER that was weaving across 3 lanes at 90, so I can't fault him...much.
Insurance will cover the car, but I don't have the capital to go with a new Bonneville at the present time. I don't want a used car again...too many things to fix too soon...so here are my choices, all of which are 2004 models:
1. Monte Carlo SS
2. GP GT
3. Impala SS
Please notice that all of these have our lovely 3800 and are GM products. I want a vehicle that most closely resembles the feel and features that I just lost. That'* why I will, not matter what the choice, be staying here at the Bonneville Club. I am member number 154...that means something to me and this BB means something to me, as do all of you.

Well good luck getting a new 3800 powered vehicle.
It'* a shame that the truck driver just didnt hit that stupid ricer instead of the guy NOT causing traffic problems.
And you need to stick around, you're the Treasurer!

Sorry to hear about it. I know your not looking at used cars, but you can get a 2000 SSEi for less than those listed above with a 2 or 3 year extended warranty.

The insurance company has not taken possesion of the B yet....so....I took a ride over to the yard today after work. Being a Sunday, the yard only had one guy and my car just happened to be at the rear. I told him I needed to get my personal effects out of the car, (I had permission from the insurance company), and I went to work. I mean, rockers and a cam shaft installed after the FACTORY could be considered personal effects, right? And since the heads had more than, say, 15% of the parts replaced, they belonged to me too, right? The CAI certainly is mine...I brought the old stock box and dropped it off.
I'm thinking a New (43 Miles) Black 2003 Monte Carlo SS...somewhere around $24,000USD-a $4000 rebate-$2000 down-$500 GM Loyalty=Mark'* New Car... pictures coming soon..... :P
Oh, yea...the parts will all fit. Anyone one got a set of rods and pistons of the high perf persuation lying around?

Dude, too bad about the accident. Glad you weren't hurt, especially due to one of those F&F wannabe'*.
And for 24K, you gotta get the Monte! Those cars are finally starting to live up to the name again!

The Monte was actually only $17,500 after all the rebates and such. I couldn't help myself!
Sorry, I didn't grab the rotors. I got them from Carquest...$88 a piece.
