Met up with a buddy of mine who has a Lumina LS with the 3.4 DOHC.. That thing'* a rocket

yea the 3.4 is a monte carlo engine, wierd to see it in a lumie.. I used to drive a 3.1L lumina they are pretty slow lol wouldnt call it a rocket

I think the luminas with 3.4s had dual exhausts too quad pipes. The old 3.4 was a quick but very trouble prone engine which is why GM slowly abandoned them. Not to be confused with the slower new gm 3.4 engines.

it has two mufflers, four outlets.

That was the 3.4 DOHC engine which was in production in luminas since 1993 or '94, to '97..Then they scrapped the 3.4 DOHC and went to a 3.8 N/a

The new one (3400SFI) is a single cam

i've known this for awhile

before my brother got rid of his lumina (but it was a 3100 sadly :( )
