May I ask how you cleaned it or has it always been like that? I can clean the engine pretty good but do you just like spray something all over the bay and rinse it off or do you get your hands and body all into it?

when i do clean it , i park it out back in our field and spray it down with Simple green. let it set for a few min. then spray it down with the hose....

that was before I took the degreaser to it, just sprayed it out with a carwash non spot spray.

I wrap the intake pipe with insulating tape that has the foil backing. Foil to the outside. I also installed a crossover pipe heatshield (additional) to help further.

The grey pipe pointing at my SC is part of my ramair cooling. The passenger side cools the SC, the driver'* side duct and scoop over-pressures my heatshield for the intake to keep hot engine bay heat out.
