Don.. You don't suppose he could drive slow and gently do you? When isn't he on the phone? Talented though..talking and taking pics.

If it took 6 quarts to get to work...and he'* got 2 on hand to get home or was that an extra 2 in reserve to get home meaning 8 quarts.. will Bill make it home?

Didn't take 6 to get here. I put 6 in, probably lost 2.

Greyhare and I just retraced the Zilla at lunch in his Jetta. I probably lost 3 quarts. No more than 4. No slipping yet, so the 2 spares I have should get me back after work no problem.

Please show me how you patched it up.
I'm really curious.

Cleaned it up real good, 3 layers of fel-pro black rtv sealant, 15 minutes apart. I think I can do better.

Went out to the parky lot, pulled out my drip bucket, poured it back in, added to fresh quarts, and hit the road. Got back with no problems, and even experienced the rare phenomenon of TC LOCKUP AT 48mph! WOOT!

Just had to do it. I might actually patch it up a bit better and DRIVE to the trans shop.

Turns out it was a damn good idea to drive it today. My O2 sensor for the 95 came in the mail today, and the manifolds aren't hot on that car.
