ah, it takes three points to make a line or determine a trend.

in this instance, we have one point in favor of the theory "older is better" - and that is 02 SSEi versus an 04 SE. and even given that, there are more factors at play than simply age.

in another instance, same person, i favored an 04 SE versus my 96 SE, notice that the trims were the same and 04 is NEWER than 96.

a more valid conclusion would be that i preferred an 02 SSEi to an 04 SE and an 04 SE to a 96 SE. no trends can be established. you can make three hypotheses:

1.) Newer is better than older [see 04 SE versus 96 SE];
2.) Higher trims are better than lower [see 02 SSEi versus 04 SE];
and 3.) Trim is more important than age, within bounds [see 02 SSEi versus 04 SE].

these are the only hypothesis completely supported by facts. and even then, theyre only true for me. one can not generalise from one example.
