I don't think I'll ever go so far as to put neon'* on any one of my vehicles. Just doesn't appeal to me.

I am seriously thinking of painting them a nice bright silver, though. It is very hard to get a nice silver color out of a photo editing software.

I don't think the red grill would look too bad in real life. The pic just isn't right. Not only is the grill red, but the black areas of the honeycomb have a red tint to them as well making the whole thing look weird.

I just updated the front picture with the red inserts. On the left is the updated side with black dots where there should be black space (not a red tint shadow). I kind of got impatient with the placement towards the end, but the effect is clear. The right side I left as it was before.

To get a good view of it, click on the image and it'll open the full res picture with the update.

Wow... That'* a real narrow view of what'* rice and what'* not... To each his own I guess. I'm just trying to make my Bonneville different from the rest. But thanks for all of your opinions. I may try different colors and see what they look like. The paint (1 thin coat) should give me a good idea of whether I like it or not.

I actually like the red . If it were more prominent it might be garish, but it'* just a touch...

Well, I may just have to stop off at Home Depot this afternoon on the way home and pick up 2 cans of spray paint (red & silver) and paint each side a different color. Put them in and stare at it for awhile and ofcourse take a picture. It'* not like I'll be screwing anything up.

No problem. No offense taken. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I was just talking to a young kid new to cars and online forums in another forum and he was appauled at what other people had to say about things he had said (in regard to cars he has beaten with his). His quote was kinda funny... "I thought these forums were for help, not to get bashed for everything I say..."

I take every opinion that people give me with a grain of salt, so to speak. I value them all, but in the end, I'm going to do what I want, because, above all, my opinion counts the most.

Thanks, the chevelle was the first car I ever bought. It'* not a true SS, and the only reason the it has an SS emblem on it is because that was cheaper than the Bowtie. It now sits under my Dad'* barn waiting for the money to go through it completely. I bought that car when I was 14 and rebuild the motor and trans myself. I spent more time ramming up and down my road in that car before I turned 16 than anyone would care to count. I am surprised I was never caught!

That car is fast! The gears are way wrong in the rear to do anything special in the 1/4, but I turned a 152mph top speed with it at Massena Airport during the top speed competition of the car show we put on. I got beat by a blown 'vette though. Still that car could do a mid/high 14 sec 1/4 without breaking a sweat.
