so here is a little thing that i develped....lets take a look at the Various caps that i have had on my 1993

here is the design that GM used on the crosslaces for 93, possibly 94 and 95


I had these stock on my car...(not my center cap but one i got at a Junkyard)


here is the Newer design center cap that GM used




i Put these on the car....i thought they were cool




and NOW the center caps that came on SOME ( and there were very limited) 93'*....Wren is the only car that we know to have them stock

i found a set in a junkyard, BUT they were mismatched


BUT i want to send a BIG THANK YOU to Driverjohn for hooking me up with a set of matching center caps



so now i have a matching set and a few extra....


and the collection....plus i have a ton more of center caps at home too

Very interesting. My '94 had the newer design center caps (the ones you show for '96) with the squattier letters and unconnected "B". I assumed they were original on my '94, but maybe not. :?

its really tough to tell Bob...there is not definate when they switched over the caps...i think it was on a whim when they decided to go to the newer vs the older...

Yup..........it wouldn't surprise me at all that the use of caps was very random, or that the previous owner of my old '94 had acquired some of the newer style caps before I bought it.

Excellent work on showning the variations.

My '94 also had the newer style center caps on the white T-stars.

I got got some black background with gold lettering for the '98, not sure what design they are since I dont have the car right now

Why are we recapping?

just thought of an interesting title for the post...i was showing the Various Center cap desings over the years and also the different center caps that i have had on the wheels....Now that i have the Black with Siver lettering in a matched set thoes are the ones that are STAYING on the car

speaking of center caps, i have got surprise cooking up, trying to work it out be be done but...w/e
