Todd, I was really surprised when we tore down Jseabert'* L27 at 188,000 miles. It was nearly as clean as yours if you can believe it. There was a noticeable difference from front to rear, though, attributable to the heat difference between the front and rear of the engine.

Cool Pics, too bad your not happy with the balancer removed, just an excuse for you know to have to go back in there for something, maybe some P&p heads.
Tells us more about the Northstar TB, what plans you got for that blower? any IC in the works?

Big discussion about this on clubgp. The N* TB is for FWD cars so the throttle cables and stuff are on the correct side. They are cheaper than the LS1 TB'* with same performance. Not sure about the blower, thinking of moving up to the Gen V blower from a series III. IC is a distant possibility. I need an LSD first off, then probably Tranny mods such as a light weight torque converter.

Will read up on the N* TB. I know exactly what they look like too since I swaped mine out on the Aurora, I agree that they could fit and the cables and stuff. Just need an adapter plate and a MAF calibration figured out.

Great pics.
It would have taken me a couple of weeks to do all that.
....I'm too fussy...
Can't wait to hear the sound.
Really surprised you decided to disconnect the balance shaft.
What did it do to your mileage
Ya right....like you really care.

Suprisingly not to bad, i still get about 29 on hwy down from 32-33 with the 1.9 rockers.
BTW, when I asked what the disconnection would do, Jeff told me rougher idle, i can live with that. What he didnt realise was the way the engine is mounted is different in the Bonnie, than the GP. We know better now
