She hasn't been whored up in a while, so I decided to do a before and after thread. Started at 6 am and just finished at 11 am. And I've only been working on the OUTSIDE. Yet to do the inside.

Anyways, despite rust and everything else. She got a nice exterior detail. I tell yah, the rust if the only real issue here. Without all that crappy rust, this thing would be CHOICE.

89 was a great year for the Bonneville.

Makes me miss mine quite a bit.

Mine will go to the junkyard in the next week or two. She will be missed. Left us stranded just two times in 19 years.

1st time was when the ignition coils got weak. It was starting to take longer & longer to start & one really really cold day it wouldn't fire up. I'll have to take the blame for that one since I knew something was wrong & didn't have it checked out.

2nd time was just last month when the ECM gave out.

Hah, yeah, the sides have no oxidation whatsoever, the paint is perfect, it looks brand new in some places.

Thanks alot for the comments guys.

89 really is the best year. Right in the middle of the gen.

Mothers Back to Black works great at getting wax resisdue out. Had to use it on the Trailblazer in a few places. Takes a few times to get it all out and the plastic looks new after.

I also have that same Pontiac key chain had to buy it, from the keys one of my friends thought I had a Buick. They got stuck with one and they saw my keys and said you have a Buick! I almost died there. Have nothing against Buicks but i would like people to know I dont drive an oldder persons car.
