im pretty sure you cant tint something without affecting the brightness of it, and i def noticed a difference. but brakes are still easily visible, even in the daytime, so its well worth it, and from the pics i took earlier, i cant see how someone could miss the brakes, tint or no. btw, follow the link for pics of the brightness

you can request someone to photoshop it for you. i did when i started contemplating this, and this is what someone was kind enough to produce for me:
