Blacked out everything but the reflectors on my 97 headlight
Damn , I didnt even know a bonniville site existed like this .....cool . Thought I would post pics of my headlight mod . It made the front of my 97 look alot more with the times and it still looks like it could be stock . All I did was separate the headlight lens , and corner lens from the housings and painted everything but the reflectors flat black like the newer style headlights . Also on the clear headlight lens I had to paint everything but the front of the lens , on that I painted on the inside . Its pretty easy to do , just tedius , getting the housing warmed up enuff to not spider web the chrome reflectors and to make the sealant plyable enuff to pry the lens apart . The lens and housing are VERY easy to crack . Definately worth the time spend , the end result looks awesome .
....and heres what happens when u get lazy and dont heat the lens up enuff . I thought the lens was plastic lexan , but its glass . Now I gotta look ghetto fabulous till the new headlight comes :(

That is one sweet mod you've made ....you're right it does make the car look much more current. Tough luck on the crack...happens to the best of us.
