She looks great, and I have to add my cudos to the carpet as well.
What did you use?

Not a bad idea...I mean, the car won't look as good, but hey, if it performs better, what's it matter right? My plan is to just keep my eye out for a new body panel that matches the color, I'd pop the dents but they're creased, so it wouldn't do much good anyways.

And yes, the heat shield...gotta figure that one out! Any input as to cheap ideas are welcome! I was thinking about doing something like this

Gumball, as for the carpets, I used a can of Tuff Stuff ($2.99) and a Libman Scrub Brush ($3.49). All I did was vacuum it out, then used the foam, let it sit, scrub it out, then use a rag to soak up the dirty foam. Works great for carpet, didn't really do much for the seats. Also worked to remove stains from the door handles (inside) and the plastic inside.

You can always throw the hat back on if you want to show it off.
As for the fenderwell intake, it's just about the ideal set-up. Just remember that your car has a different fender area. This is the set-up I used:
http://gonneville.smugmug.com/photos/78633661-M.jpg
The cannister in the bottom center is the Evap Cannister, which sits right below your PCM box(the black box on your driver's side. Relocate those two pieces, and you have a nice big, round hole to pass a hose through. Just make sure to make some sort of splash guard, as there's no plastic inner fender at the front of the well.
www.intense-racing.com offers a few choices. Call them, and Todd will help you get the right one for your car.

nice pose on the first pic above^

covers that dent real well :D

j/k man ;) you know, I bet if you was to remove the fender you could pop most of that out.

Echo SSEI 08-28-2007 10:54 PM

I spy silver grills. Looks good against the darker green

CJCroel 08-28-2007 11:12 PM

LMAO!

I did pose that way to cover the dent Gumball...how'd you ever guess? I do plan pulling it off for at least a temp fix until I get my hands on a matching fender...

And yes Echo...they're silver, but the :jester: that did it apparently didn't know how to mask...bad overspray! The grill needs to be replaced...if you look closely the mounting tab is broken off the grill and the left side's only supported by the metal band :?

I've only had her 18 days now...plans are in the making ;)
