FRICKEN SWEET!!!!

i thought those were ur headlights on in a few of those pics... def not... just the last one right?

did u do just the 1 right now?

Peterg22000 11-07-2005 10:42 PM

 holy sh!t you werent lying when you said they would look as good as that original photo shop pic ...that the best mod i have seen as of yet...great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan 11-07-2005 10:42 PM

Those look really nice, although the reflector takes away from the "halo" effect.

Still sweet tho, how did you get the headlights apart? And how did you seal around the wires?

singscountry1967 11-07-2005 10:42 PM

you're so handy! That's cool....just don't break the glasses used to form the rings before you get the other side done! LOL!

1993 SLE 11-07-2005 10:43 PM

thanks for all the comments guys and gals

Haro
the headlights are on in the last one only
yes i only ripped one headlight apart, cause i really didnt know the outcome....i have the other side eyes ready to go, just have to take apart the Headlight

Ryan take off the clips and pry slowly between the plastic and the lens

corvettecrazy 11-07-2005 10:43 PM

your welcome btw

looks nice and bright.

Echo SSEI 11-07-2005 10:46 PM

Pat...is there anything YOU can't do with a light?

Very nice... 8)

1993 SLE 11-07-2005 11:00 PM

Rob was the hook up for the LED's

BOB.....ya never know....

Garb 11-08-2005 12:20 AM

Looks sexy Pat!

JimmyFloyd 11-08-2005 12:27 AM

Good job. It's nice to see it complete. Not a huge fan personally cause it looks like they put out sloightly too much light and it reflects off the back of the housing too much. Might want to try blacking out the back half to reduce the reflection of the back of the housing .

Custom88 11-08-2005 12:34 AM

WOW. I like that a lot.

That's a good idea Geoff, that's what I meant by the reflector killing the halo effect.

yes i already took the lights apart once after they were finished cause of a damn LED burning out..... I can always try it on the Pass side, before its final..

Keep the comments coming...

Puddy46 11-08-2005 01:05 AM

Wow, thats sweet lookin. 8)

rjolly87 11-08-2005 01:14 AM

looks great pat, but, what i would do, is look for some aluminum tape or something <that can take the heat of the light> and put it on the back side of the rings, to cut the glare. i really think the glare off of the reflectors kinda takes some out of it. but, very nice :D

llBlazin_llLo 11-08-2005 01:18 AM

Very nice... 8) I looked at doing this about a year ago, I even have the halos sitting around and a headlight all taken apart. I never got around to really working on it tho. But in the little time I did I had problems with the glue and holding them in place and the size of the eyes I had.

Could you get a pic with the flash off and you car in the dark (i.e. with no other light) A wright-up on where you got the eyes and the size of them, the glue you used, and etc. would be nice too.

driverjohn2005 11-08-2005 02:03 AM

wow, dude! Good JOB! Those look AWSOME!!! Now, when can you start on my car?

dbeast420 11-08-2005 05:19 AM

They look great.
The glare from the halos does make it look like the lights are on though.

BillBoost37 11-08-2005 07:10 AM

Pat... looks good.
I agree, so something to cut the back lighting. Afterall they are only to look good on the front.
Nice table in the first couple..lol You took the Doritos!!!!!

How do you lose a thumbscrew doing this project?
(mumbles to self...about how he loses a 10mm socket between toolbox and car...smacks self in head)

tripscarcare95 11-08-2005 09:07 AM

Looks good

bmsgaffer86 11-08-2005 01:53 PM

looks pretty cool. The only think i would be concerned about is: what did you make the rings out of? and if it is the acrylic im thinking of can they handle an entire nights worth of heat from low and/or high beams?

Other than that i think they are awesome.

BillBoost37 11-08-2005 02:05 PM

Awesome job, Pat. Those eyes look real sharp in there. Keep up the R & D, they'll work out perfect eventually.

XKalibuR 11-12-2005 11:26 PM

cool man u finally got pics of em :)

what size diameter are they? I dont know how to make them so would have to buy ones off ebay.
also you mentioned you took off the clips and pryed off the lens out, how did you reseal it? Im thinking of water entering in there

ga93sle 11-13-2005 06:27 PM

That's cool. I'd like it better, though, if instead of black, it was white to match the car color. But, not my car. Butt kicking though.

XKalibuR 11-17-2005 06:05 PM
