As some folks know we've been looking at a replacement vehicle for my wife'* 99 Jimmy. We were interested in a Jeep Patriot but the $350 to $400 a month payment was a little too steep for comfort. (sorry Jack ) Before I bought my 01 SSEi we test drove a few Grand Prix GTPs and my wife always said if she were buying a car that'* what she'd want. So after a few weeks of shopping we found and bought her new car....

We bought a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G.

The Competition Group or Comp G adds FE3 suspension with stiffer shocks and bigger sway bars.


GTP 17" rims with factory Comp G red calipers.


The car is loaded. Options include HUD, heated leather seats, TapShift, OnStar and Sirrus.



With the L32 and Gen V stock horsepower is rated at 260.

Wow I would love a Comp G...if I were to do it over again I may have even opted for one over the '99 SSEi.

K&N drop in and that'* it. If I leave it alone I don't have to fight the KR monster and she can use 87 octane and up.....
