Yay! Page 2!!

Hehehe... my older brother/housemate noticed the shiney paint too and has requested that I lend him my help and newly aquired cleaning supplies to help bring his car back to bling too. Started working on it today and the paint is in soooo much better shape that its only goign to take us 2 days instead of over a week :P

We're putting coat #1 of Liquid Glass on his car tomorrow, so I plan on doing Coat #2 on the T Type at the same time. I'll snap some pics of his car to use for shine reference factors :P

Otherwise, I think I've got the windshield leak issue fixed (finally) so I need to run some new wires for my dual light-up visors (out of a PA, the BLT only had a PS light up stock) and a rearview mirror with map-lights built in (came from a mid-90'* camaro methinks). After the wire is run and wrapped, It'll be time to install my headliner again.

This probably won't happen till Thursday or Friday as school will keep me busy as well as my GN horn ring project. I don't think I've had a full nights sleep in 2-3 days because of staying up late to work on software or homework or whatever so I'm looking forward to a break!

Still haven't gotten that second coat of LG on! :( Oh wel, perhaps this weekend.

Finally got the leak stopped... I expect this to last only a couple years though. By then, I will hopefully have a house and a way to properly chop out the rust and weld in new material... till then, this will hold just fine:

Got my horn button and Kirban Performance horn ring on the car since I"m not using the Kirban Ring anymore for measurements for my aluminum ring project.

I replaced the switch for my window so now it goes up and down again... yay!

I also mounted a trunk emblem.... with drywall anchors. Works fine, and looks great!

Next up is to de-rust and paint (rustoleum) the floorpan, then put in new carpet padding and my cleaned carpet. I'm going to swap in my leather seats from my '89 after I replace some of the seat belts and after that its mostly trim bits that are left.

Then the engine... it still knocks and I think its a bad timing chain. Dunno... I'm goign to repaint the valve covers so when I do I'm going to drop the oil pan and look for bits of destroyed dampener or for slack in the chain.

A stretched timing chain would explain the rattle I hear, the crappy in town fuel economy (16 in town, 27 highway), and the rough idle. Its got 164k miles though and I would have expected that to have been done by now... but who knows what the previous owners have done or not done to the car considering its condition now.
