Thats pitiful. I mean puting the badge on a 96-99, you might get away with it but not on a 92-95. Its an SLE though.

Besided the badge and VIN number, what makes a 97 40th anney Bonne, different than a regular 97?

the car has to have RPO Y40 and that package added the C pillar badges, 40th Floormats. Dark cherry metallic was the Color of choice but the 40th could be had in any color the cars were available in SE, SSE and SSEi. There were only 637 SSEi 40 the made and the most rare bonne ever came out of the 97 40th. There was a 40th anniversary SE Supercharged. there were only 6 yes 6 of thoes cars EVER produced

This one is a 1994SE with gray leather interior. I was informed the badges were already on the car when he got it.

Aviator, suggest that your friend should go back to the seller and be really pissed. I hope he didn't pay more for those 40th badges. You can also determine if the seller put them on himself if he was the sole owner from 97 to the date of sale.

Reminds me of the SSE badged SE around here. We've seen it 3 times. Shoddy condition. Almost an embarassment.
