it'* a shame that people that buy cars like these just don't care about them, and the next owners have to deal with all of the problems (rust on the body like that.. that is a 1999! come on.) you know? My impala was also beaten pretty bad, but i've fixed most of it

it was a rusted gas door on a nearly 10 year old car, thats nothing, It happens. to some people a car is just a means of transportation...

Anyway, a little rubbing compound and a lil elbow grease and those rust streaks will come right off

That gas door issue was very common on 98 and 99 Bonnevilles. It'* not a sign of neglect..

This was taken in 2004. Car was five years old at the time:

Yeah my 97'* gas tank door is perfectly fine. In fact I can't think of anywhere that there is rust on my car'* actual white body parts.

Mostly just black chips and scratches. They seem to have used like a black primer under the white paint job...so if any of the paint chips off its extremely noticeable and you need to run and buy some touchup lol

my 95 SSE rusted there also. took it to my body shop guy and he showed me the blunder GM put on the inside of the quarter panel. right where the gas filler tube is, they glued on the inner quarter a pad that retains water. making therefor your quarter panel to rust from the inside out.
only way to fix it is to remove the pad and weld in some new metal.

had it fixed 4 years ago and no signs of rust.
