you can use ls performance parts but stock its not exactly the same.

on a diesel you've got bigger and sometimes more than one fuel filters, water seperators, bigger and sometimes more oil filters, more volume and more expensive oil, etc.. and when they break it costs about twice as much to fix

It'* a vortex, but same displacement as SS or GXP. I think those have 426 ish hp???

Nothing GXP had anything CLOSE to that much HP sadly. The Camaro SS comparison is spot on though.

The Vortec block and intake is different than the LSx engines. So some things may work if you choose to try, but a lot will not.

the G8 GXP did have the 6.2L LS3 with 415HP and 415 lb ft.
Even the G8 GT had a 6.0L with 361 hp. The G8'* were so badass. Someday when they drop into the $10k I'm going to get one. Possibly the best 4 door car that has ever been made in the US. (thanks Australia!)

Also, to the OP awesome truck. I love trucks with big power.

That trailer looks like it does work.

I like the way that aftermarket head unit looks in the truck, like it was always there.
