Just noticed in your sig that you have Bosch plugs.
Bosch wires too? Our cars hate Bosch products, for various reasons.
Do a search, and you'll find many problems. Just a heads up, should you experience any of them.

Wires were just stock , Advance Auto came up with the bosch plugs, Did not use platinum have'nt had much luck with those in any car.
No problems yet ! Hopefully no problems rear plugs were a pain.

This is my solution for the intake drawing hot air.
Large hose from work fit just right over intake, Ran to where stock airbox got air.
Has to be better than before, Not as nice looking though !

But you still have a ton of restriction there. That chrome thing is keeping air from flowing.
It may not look as nice as the chrome thingy, but the best set-up for flow and heat is a fenderwell intake, like this:
Notice the size of the tubing. I had a 3" aluminum rice pipe with an open cone before this set-up. This one is a 3.5" flex-wall tube, with an open cone stuffed into the spot where the vacuum cannister used to sit in the inner fender. Positioned there, it draws cool air from outside of the car. Just that change alone took a quarter of a second off my track times.
Air flow and intake temps are extremely important for our cars. That chrome thingy is strangling your motor.
If you want to try a fenderwell intake go to www.intense-racing.com, look for the menu on the right side of the screen. Go to INTENSE store, Series II/III, Induction, and look for INTESE custom air ducting. You'll need about three feet. The rest of the install is kind of however you can manage. Or you can buy the kit for the 96-97 cars, which will set you back about $170, but is probably the best intake on the market.

Would like to Do the FWI but not sure where to run it, There'* some kind of electric box over my vac canister. Don't think there'* enough room behind the headlight either.
Could the smaller size pipe going to my filter make that much difference ?
Were do you get the flex tube and were do you put your air temp sensor ?
