Just got her a week ago, yesterday! So far I love it, but I can't wait to start doing some mods! 124,000 miles. all leather. power seats, mirrors, locks, and windows. 6 disc clarion cd changer.

Its like a darkish green color. I'll get some pics in the sun as soon as I get a chance.

Its what takes the air from your intake and puts it into the motor (In very simple terms)

Also what goes wrong with them, and what would be the best replacement as far as performance and cost go?

All depends on how mechanically inclined you are. It has been replaced by several members here.
