that is super cool

you need lowering springs and FE2/F41 sway bars with endlinks, to stop all that roll

Very cool..... my friends have been trying to talk me into doing that this year with my rides.

Question..... it just looks like a bunch of pylons placed randomly around the track... how in hell do you know where you are supposed to drive??? It'* kinda hard to see the "path" from the camera view... if there is one.

At the beginning of the day when you register they give you a map of the course, and then you walk the course before anyone runs it so that you know where you need to go. Also the cones mean different things. If they are laying on their side, the direction that they are pointing means that you need to go that direction around the cones. i.e. a slalom will usually have a cone on its side telling you which way to take the slalom so that you can setup your next set of turns. Some places also have differnt colored cones for different sides of the course, that way you know the basic lay out of the course on the fly. You definately need to do it this summer, cause you definately can find the limits of your car, in a safe place.

You've inspired me....

I'm just signed up for an AutoSlalom race on May 8th.
$30 to enter ($15 signup fee, $15 to race).

Only problem is my helmet (which I just bought last year) is not Snell approved.
It'* good for drag racing, but not for the slalom..... which IMHO is retarded.

A helmet good enough to do around 100mph isn't good enough to use in a parking lot going around pylons. :? pretty damn silly

wow, that helmet thing is stupid. Fortunately the SCCA region i'm in has loaner helmets, so beginners can still run. I hope you have a good time next month, and don't be suprised if you get addicted. If it came in pill form it would be illegal.
