He could have easily beaten on it, and at 12k miles it can easily start to show signs of abuse, possibly like what happened to him, I work for a Chevy dealership, and we just had a brand new Colbalt SS supercharged come in with just over 4k miles on it with a blown clutch. Hmmmm, now what does one think when a car with 4k and a blown clutch comes in, duh he beat the **** out of it, and the guy who owned it had the nerve to come bitch at our service writers saying this cars a piece of **** blah blah blah, so you never know what can happen.

I owned a Caddy once. Worst car I have ever owned in my life.. In fact it was the worst car out of any car I have had any dealings with what so ever. One could argue that it was just one bad car out of many good ones but I have talked to way to many people that have had the same bad expierences. It really is a shame GM can't build good Caddys anymore, in my oppinion they are some of the nicest cars on the road.

You could beat on a Caddy CTS-V just as hard as a Cobalt, and the Cobalt would shows signs of abuse first I'm sure. It'* definitely possible that the owner beat on it, but you don't know. Considering it'* probably a young guy, and the car is SC, he has probably driven it hard though.

But I know some other cars that just have bad clutches. My cousin had an 03ish Tiburon and the clutch went at 5K. A good friend of mine also has an 03 Tiburon and knows that the clutches aren't that great. He'* been lucky so far.
