Hi Kevin. Thanks
Here is a link to the photos the salvage yard had of it when they picked it up:
Wisconsin Cycle Salvage Inc. - Motorcycle Image Gallery
It had about 30% in damage against its value so the insurance company salvaged it.
It needs about $1,100 in parts and little work. Mainly it just needs parts. And paint.
Front fender
Rear fender
Front wheel and tire
Mirrors
Handlebars
Gas tank body work
Brake lever
Grips
Front cover lower part of the radiator
Headlight assembly
Exhaust is tweaked in a bit to. I'll pull on it to see if it will not hit the bolt inside.
And it may need forks.

Doesn't look bad at all Todd! By looking at the salvage picture, the front forks look like they didn't get tweaked so that keeps you out of having to do any work on the neck/frame and trunnion area.
I can see where the heat shield got bent on the exhaust. Is that where the tweak is? Or is it up near the heads/flange area?
This looks like a fantastic project. So...what color will it be?

The exhaust hits a bolt on the inside area by the rear rim when I bounce on the suspension.
I'm still kinda up in the air with the paint right now. my wife wants some sort of purple. I may go with a two tone combo maybe dark pearl purple with gunmetal. Might even paint a try-coat on it.

nothing special today just a photo of the bike with no front rim on it. I installed another rim from a 06 VN900 classic. Pretty easy to do btw.
The rim I put on sits the same as the one I took off so my forks are tweaked a bit.

Looks like it coming together Todd, Ride it to NEBF in June. I'm figuring out how to stuff a 3 day stay in my saddlebags as we speak. I'm thinking about getting one of these this year. Tired of walking like a trail hand after a day of riding.
