Jeez that is quick. If you need a parchute you have too much hp.

had it on a dyno before?

Speedster400 12-27-2006 12:00 AM

1095 hp at 10500rpm
750tq at 7000rpm

that was back in june that it was dynoed

Why such a big variation in your claimed best of 7 sec
@ 185 and the vids times of 9 and 10 sec @ 150ish :?:

The 10 flat run was from when we ran the car in the NHRA Super Gas Class, where the entire class tries to run as close as possible to 9.90 seconds in the quarter. normally the car will run 7's all out, but to run 9.90 we use a throttle stop which brings the engine almost to idle for roughly 3 seconds after the launch.

On the 9.15 run, which was going to be an all-out run, the metering in the carburetor got fouled up with somthing casuseing the engine to die at mid to high rpm. This is why if you notice the car did not "wind-up" at the starting line and just rolled through the staging beams initally. It also died on the top end around 900 feet. Turns out that their was a metalic partical lodged in one of the emulsion tubes.

Sorry that i dont have a decent all out video. Hoping to get some this spring

There is no such thing as too much horsepower . More horsepower in a sense translates into going faster. And at this point in life I just want to go faster
