It was amazing how much metal was in the pan. The halo around the magnet showed just how much FINE powder was in the oil.

In an effort to not replicate this on my 3rd motor - Bill - how soon after the first start to change my oil?

I saw you said you basically started it and then changed the oil. I want to do what you do.

Well...oil changes were different with me because I installed a cam and pulled apart some fo the engine.

Play it safe and change it by 100 or 200 miles.

Meanwhile.. I got sparkles in my oil.
