this is a forum where people express there opinions and views on things.
that’* what i did.
right?

your 'house' ok. understood. however i don't feel i'm a guest here. nor that i should be treated as one. i'm a member of your forum just like everyone else. i'm here to help out, learn, and express my opinions just like everyone else. when i joined i wish i would have been told i wasn't equal to other members on this site. maybe if my name was domestics rule or ieatrice it would be ok and i would be an equal? until you have private memberships i would assume we are all on the same lvl except for mods/admins. right? therefore i don't consider myself a guest and do not want to be thought of as one.

every time i hear someone bashing imports i like to remind them of the following:
they generally...
1. sell better then domestics
2. perform better then domestics
3. are more reliable then domestics

i understand it was posted as a laugh. i would be more concerned with people being closed minded and ignorant then i would be about a stray post that i made. but that’* me.

edit: this just occured to me after i clicked submit. why are you so against other people'* views on your forum? or maybe i'm just reading to far into your post...

Nismo, in the past (several times) non-Bonneville owners have been here on this Forum. More often than not, they invite flames by their subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) comments. Your posts are garnering complaints already, although a bit more subtle than most we've experienced in the past.

My job is to keep the peace on this Forum. Your job is to abide by the rules AND any guidance an Administrator or Moderator tosses you via PM'*. I suggest you read your PM that I sent you two hours ago.

I'm not squashing your opinion, but when you post on a BONNEVILLE forum in the manner you do, it'* only a matter of time before it becomes a problem. You ARE a guest here. You are here at the discretion of the 3 Administrators of this site.

Further communication on this matter should be dealt with via Private Messages. This topic is now back ON topic.

also anyone who believes all imports suck is an ignorant fool.

i'm sorry to post in this thread again it will be my last. i really feel i must justify what i said because apparently it'* making certain people very angry which i don't understand. maybe if you explain to me what parts of what i said were hurtfull and i will appologize to whomever my opinions hurt. i really don't understand how anything i type could be thought of as bashing or insulting to your bonneville or your 3.8....but here goes...

so mature <--directed to the author of the video none of you

we are all car enthusiasts it is so pointless. <--not insulting anyone i don't think...

wow an american car doing a burnout as the guy said above and why can't an import do the same thing...oh wait...they can. <--uhhh i'm repeating what one of your members ALREADY said so i get in trouble for bashing domestics somehow by sayin this...?

neat video i guess. <--thats a compliment i think to the poster who posted this video for us all to watch...

also anyone who believes all imports suck is an ignorant fool. <--this comment doesn't bash anyone specifically. and i can't find any fault in what i said. closed-mindedness is a bad trait in all circumstances...it'* good to be open to new things and new ideas....

that kid at the end is a tool. <-- you disagree???

This is your last warning. When an Administrator or Moderator gives you guidance via PM'* and clearly states to get back on topic, do NOT ignore the warning.

I don't like to discipline in the public eye, but when a member continually ignores authority, it sometimes must be done. Please read this:

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=48871

Nismo, you may not post in this topic again.

its the truth, not all imports suck...didnt anyone see the Pinks show where an RX-7 smoked the tires, and ran a heck of a run and killed the opposing civic, which didnt do to bad. Both imports ran well. The problem is that most ricers choose imports to drive, and imports get a bad rap. If every ricer drove a Bonneville or another style of car, it would be consider rice all the time just like imports are today. The problem stems from toooo many import drivers thinking they can blow anyone away and that they are fast when they add a fart can, weight adding wing which slows them down, and a NOS sticker. If more made cars with pure horsepower, torque, and speed, then it would be more common for people to know that imports can be fast. Until more import drivers back up there claim with real speed, its gonna be looked at this way (not saying they arent fast, its just that the ricer to fast import ratio isnt close to even). This is just my opinion, and hope this sheds some light on the subject.

Well stated. The VAST MAJORITY of 'import tuners' go cosmetic. All talk, no walk. These many bad apples ruin the image of the truly well performing imports.

American you can spend 30-40K and be fast out of the box......The imports spend 13-18K on their cars out the door, then spend another 10-12 on it. The real ppl in my eyes are the imports that build their cars and build them right.

you can do the same with an import or domestic...

you can spen $40 on a fast import, or you can spend 10-15 on a slow domestic and built it
