Is there mounts for a caliper on the rear left side of the frame? (like the one on the fork)

if yeah, do a set of disc brakes.. the advantages are worth it.

i've got a 2003 mongoose rockadile al that my parents bought me for my bday in '03.. built up (every single part that came on the bike was switched off for deore lx/xt parts, or at the very least shimano. the brakes were switched from some off-brand v-brake to hayes hmx-1 discs (mechanical)

i used to be very into bicycling.

a few months before that, i found a trek 830 in the trash.. asked the guy if he seriously was tossing it in the trash.. well.. the parts that came on the mongoose went on the trek after it got a fresh paintjob.

here'* a pic of the bikes (and my old car) because i don't have any other pics of the bikes and atm they're dusty. . need to clean off / get some new seats and get riding agani (got my liscense and got lazy)

the trek however, kept the stock headset, forks, front derailleur, and seatpost.. everything else was new or different. the mongoose kept the stock headset, forks, and the thing between the handlebar and the headset (forget what it'* called atm)
