I'm thinking about an aftermarket V grill. The aftermarket grills still have a stainless steel mesh, but the outter rim is chromed plastic. The OEM V grill even on ebay, goes for near $400. I can't afford that. The aftermarket grill looks identical and will cost me $150 shipped. I think it'd cost around $100 to get my current grill painted, but even then I am afraid of the paint chipping/cracking because it'* so flimsy of plastic. There'* also the sport grill for the CTS but that'* on back order and costs around $340 from GM painted. My car DOES have the sport package, but they didn't start including a rear spoiler, and sport grill on the sport edition until 2006. I don't think the V grill is poser-ish only because it'* not like I'm putting a V emblem on the car or anything like that, it'* just a grill that doesn't distinguish it as a V series or a sport CTS.

This is the sport Grill.

I'll consider it a discussion for the future, when I actually do have some $$. I'm career searching right now. Hopefully I come out lucky.

I saw a CTS with the sport grille today.
I thought it looked hella nice, but if you ask me, I'd save up to get the V grille.

I like the sport grille, it lokks subtly more aggressive than the standard one, but it won't attract the attention of ricers who think it'* a V...
