Me and buddy went to an NHRA event in Columbus this weekend and I took a few quick vid'*, the quality isnt the greatest, but it'* hard to hold your ears and film a decent vid at the same time, lol. It was definately an experience, to feel your whole body shake as they pass by........incredible. These clips dont to them justice as to how loud they really are, but you'll get the picture. Anyhow, here they are:

Nothing like an NHRA event. The thing to do next time is go down near the tree. That is where it gets really loud
Back when they used to have the Winternationals at Darlington,I used to go with my brother and you could go and stand down near the tree and be about 30 feet from the start line.
NOTHING like the smell of nitromethane and burning rubber in the morning
