Should have an R rating.
If you're worried about the girl in it, you should try watching some of the Barbie or Bratz commercial. PreTeen girls dressed like street ho'* praincing around....

I thought the commercial was great. Good production, well directed. How many car enthusiasts havent dreamed of driving a good performer?
As for the girl winking at the boy? Please! When does a wink constitute sexual overtones? I've winked at peope when pulling a prank on someone so they'll keep their mouth shut and not spoil the surprise. There are dozens of other non-sexual reasons for winking at someone too.

And now for the affecting little kids later in life? All I see is maybe they'll want to buy a Corvette sometime, not go on a speeding rampage. It'* a commerical, next time I see a UFO in a commercial I'll send a million e-mails arguing that company is advocating the proof of existence of ET life.

Awesome, to many uber tight wads making ridiculous decisions instead of letting a marketing agency and GM appeal to masses and recanting childhood dreams.

I've watched it 3 times now, and its just great

It'* one of two only GM commercials(I like the one where the Cobalt taps the C6 and the Vette does a 180*) that could actually be compared to Ford'* marketing.

I don't think they pulled it because of underage sex...c'mon, she just winked...I think it had to do with some curly haired, thick glasses, never held a REAL job in his life, PhD, who thought that all 11-12 year old kids would go out and start joy-riding in Corvettes!

If we leave all of the decisions up to today'* academia...they will not want anyone to have a say in their own future. They will tell us that abortion, gay marriages and race quotas are good. They will tell us that the NRA, organized religion and teaching kids abstinence are bad. The religious right would have it the same way, only reversed.

The purely innocent idea of a young boy seeing a Vette and imagining what he could do with it if "life were perfect", will be lost in the translation.

<<soap box put away>>

I am just shaking my head.

You are really living with your head in the sand.
Hello. Welcome to the real world.
When was the last time a woman winked at you......I thought so.
When a good looking woman winks at me, I check my fly.

There are 12 year old kids who go joy riding....a few of them do it over and over again in this province cause the law can't do anything to them.

We have Hospitals handing out morning after pills to anyone who wants them without a doctors referal or parents permission, have to register all of our guns and gay marriages are legal here now.
I'm not saying it'* right or wrong but it'* real.

Shaking MY head.

Geesh...and I thought all those leaving the US to move to Canada after the election knew what they had in store for them...hell, maybe they do.

I guess if you have that many 12 year olds going joy-riding and that many of their older (I hope) sisters getting Levonelle or whatever the generic version is, I don't think a Chevy commercial is going to be much more than a fart in a wind-storm. You might as well let it ride, by that point.

As far as a girl winking at me, one did to me tonight...she thought it was cute that I had my son out for dinner at my favorite watering hole. She also asked if I would be interested in attending church with her tomorrow. (My answerto her is irrelevant).

p.*. I knew my fly was up.

Two wrongs don't make a right, as the old saying goes.
Some of the best lays, I ever had....and I have to remember a long way back....went to church.
Was that a pack of lifesavers in your pocket or were you just happy she winked.

Oh no, I was hoping that election wouldn't increase the immigrants.....we already have too many 60'* long gray haired Vietnam draft dodgers living close by.

It'* a commerical, and it makes everyone smile. I saw part of it before it was released, and it was great!

Kids wouldn't know how to start a C6 either. I think parents need to pick up some responsibility. It'* their job to raise their kid, not just cart them around to school, activities, friends.
