Default A Boy'* Dream...

Too bad GM was pressured to take this commercial off the air. If you didn't get to see it, or if you just want to save it to your computer, here it is. http://vette-net.com/movies/ABoysDream-High.mov I just learned about it today, reading an issue of MT.

There has been NO research to date that proves what kind of long term influence (if any) TV has on anyone, including children.

There are so many flaws with such a poorly constructed argument supporting the removal of the commercial. If they're so concerned with influence, then why don't they censor the news, like that NBA brawl? Compared to this commercial, the brawl is definitely rated "R", yet they can't show that enough, even during commercials for upcoming news.

There are so many more things those idiots should be doing with their time, like finding PRODUCTIVE jobs. If the FCC doesn't care, why should anyone else?

Oh, and as a side note, Smokey and the Bandit and the Dukes of Hazzard were my favorite two shows when I was between 6 and 8 years of age. I used to drive my 1/32 general lee all over and off ramps. I even refused to watch sesame street or any of that crap. I'm 22 now, and I think I grew up just fine, not having any problems with the law. So much for that TV influence.

It'* a bunch of BS. There have been much worse ones, like for Viagra that openly talk about problems that make everyone un-comfortable when it comes on the TV.

I don't think it is appropriate.

Particularly the little girl.... winking.....child **** mixed with promoting youngsters to go joy riding and destroying cars.

Ever see what happens to a car when you land it after getting that much air.

Should have an R rating.

I LOVE that commerical, that is something every little kid dreams about (that is in to cars) having a Corvette, I think that the girl winking at him is a cool scene, there are alot of commericals that are way worse than that one

there are too many mommas boys around these days

That commercial is awesome....a true reflection of dreams!

I don't see any problem with it. The FCC needs to subjectively compare that commercial with tyrants such as Howard Stern.

That commercial was awesome, and it'* a perfectly ok commercial. Perfect song for it too. Jumpin' Jack Flash.....Gonna have that one stuck in my head for a while. There are WAY worse commercial'* out there than that. Take "Enzyte" for example? All the lude inuendo'* in a 30 sec spot of that is horrible. I think people are too into themselves...Only problem I could REMOTLEY see is a bunch of 5-10 yr olds stealing vette'* from the chevy stealerships......Which I find highly unlikely. But hey whatever floats America'* boat right?

Man I loved that ......

If they were worried how a kid might take it... the kid would probably just think it'* another video game ad or something.

There are far worse ads out there right now... that one is actually really cool.
