This ultra rare can am can be yours for the asking price of 2500 and I bet you could get it for 1500. Story goes that the father gave it to his son and the son parked it in his garage and never drove it. Well son gets married and then divorced. The mother of the son is mad about divorce and signs title to ex wife who is selling it now. Ex wife'* boyfriend drives car and blows up the 400. He pulls the motor out and someone steals it. So can am now has an olds 350 in it. There are only like 200 of these cars left out of 1300.

Hey, the LeMans was a great model in itself and valuewise would be better to leave it what it is. Does a high rise manifold, better profile cam feeding power to some fat meaty tires count as "tasteful"

So,........ How much do you want for the "400"

It'* finally out of the shed and in the sun for the first time in 25 years. I just pulled it into my driveway. Tomorrow I will get some pics of it cleaned up. It has all the owners manuals and paperwork in the dash with the pretecto plate and window sticker. The last owner wrote every repair he ever made and the date repairs were made. So far it looks like it needs paint since the bottom of the car has surface rust.

So I washed it and used about 25 bucks worth of magic eraser and this is how the interior came out. Tomorrow I will see about getting it running. All the rust you see is just surface rust.

Surprisingly in great shape! Hopefully the mechanics are in good condition and you can get the beast on the road.

Considering the age of the car, that looks really nice. You will have to keep us all up to date on the rebirth of this car. Really looking forward to seeing the progress.

All I can say is unbelievable. I put new plug wires, battery, points, oil, antifreeze and rewired the firewall and WOW this baby runs and drives better than my bonneville. I took it for a nice long drive today to blow some of the cobwebs out and she ran flawless. I also ran the buffer over it. I plan on leaving it the same this summer and start the body work this winter. I can't believe how much power this two barrell 350 has. With the two speed tranny you can nail it at 70 and it downshifts into 1st.
