So, the educational lesson is: Can you see what really happened that caused him to smack the wall? (Hint: watch the in-car segment again and the nose of the car from the moment he leaves the line)

You see the hood come up when he launched the car. Good launch and weight transfer to the rear tires. So far, so good. But by the 60' mark he is already loosing control of it. It'* oscillating left and right and the deviation is getting larger. Basicly, there'* air under the floorpan from no hood and no inner fenders. The rear tires are actually steering the car at this point. The fronts are on the ground, but there'* no weight on them. At this point, he should have shut it down which would have plopped the car'* weight on the front tires and given him some steering control back. No, this fellow rides it out. Finally the car departs far enough to one side that airflow on the side of the body starts to make it swap ends. Can't read the tach to tell if he ever got out of the throttle before he hit the wall.
FWD Bonnies are impervious to this kind of mistake, but the older RWD ones can do this brand of "Ooops!" too.

He survived well due to the roll cage strengthening.
There is good reason for NHRA safety rules.
There is also good reason to use wheelie bars.
Sad to see the loss of that car but it can be rebuilt.
