Default Aww Crap.

:?

well, there is definitely something wrong with the blazer... today on my way to work i noticed a weird noise coming from the engine. it changes with engine speed and i thought maybe my alternator had finally kicked the bucket, and since i couldnt do anything i just drove. so after work i come home open up the hood, and find its not the alternator, but the noise is coming from the rear of the motor, so i think oh no, then i check oil, its way below the fill line and barely on the stick

so now im worried and thinking the worst, im doing an oil change as we speak and hoping all things work out, otherwise, it may be new engine time for me....

of COURSE you have an oil leak on those lines, thats a given!

so maybe you just need a new dist rotor? new cap while you're at it? eh?

well, the cap and rotor were replaced about...4 months ago, so theres not many miles on them, so im gunna run to the jy and get a whole distributor assembly and see if that helps or at least ill figure out whats wrong.

maybe the rotor is defective? it happens.

there AREN'T many moving parts to that assy....you really think its necessary to replace the whole thing before just trying the rotor?
