I'd love for you to get a good hi-def shot of one of your burnouts and send it to carcraft.com. Every month they publish pics in a "Burnout" section and I have yet to see a FWD there. They are also into primer, so not to worry there, lol.

Part of my whine is due to the fact that the hood vents allow more noise out, and I currently don't have the hood insulator installed.

Yeah, but that'* not a bad thing. That is a good whine, rich and rewarding with no aftertaste...

Any particular reason why the hood insulator has to go back on?

The stark contrast between that engine and an ugly underside of a hood is a good reason to put the insulator back in. You've seen the Pontiac Racing refurb insulator I made, right?

The underside of the hood will remain black long-term though. Only the top will be OEM color.

Good point! That insulator you fabbed up is pretty nice and people do like to look under there and see what'* making all that noise...

Camera does that. I can run it through video editor to shrink it, and it looks and sounds just the same.

It'* a pita though. I only have that software on my work laptop and Pooky'* laptop, not either of the Home PC'*.
