That engine was probably running a tad lean as well, hence glowing manis.
The Manis in my old 93 SSEi would glow by the time it reached 110 mph WOT from 0 , but it ran a bit lean too lol

lol, those 305'* will run forever. to bad i wish my wouldnt. my 305 in teh good ol camaro overheats, eats oil, guzzles gas, but still runs (just not so fast).
