New engine? Did you put new spark plugs, plug wires (even the new ones off the old engine if they were still good) or a new PCV valve in the new engine? What was done to the old engine doesn't apply to the new engine.

also my upper intake is newer so idk, im gonna check the tb too, im sure theres gunk in it, my car has to be faster then this! and if im just crusing around 45-50 and floor it, it pulls nicely. highway is even better 65+ gets going pretty good once in a hwhile. i wish it was more steady performance with this. This weekend: K&N air filter with gutted airbox ( How do i do this? i heard drill holes in the side?) clean the throttle body, clean up anything else that looks shitty, get some 91 octane and rip it! satuday videos wil be up

Just for example, this is a '99 SE with a 3.05 gear ratio, he has the newer 4t65e trans though.

not to be mean either get a turbo or sell the car and get an ssei if you want to "burn rubber" but you got to pay to play turbos are not cheap and you can get a same vintage ssei for about what you could get a turbo kit for

We'll get a picture of your RPO codes when you are here. That'* the best way to know exactly what is in your car. (located on spare tire cover)

Actually we cheated on cleaning.

Cleaned the maf and IAC properly. Then gave it a couple sprays in the TB for good measure. Next time we'll drain off a little coolant and get you cleaning it properly.
