Electronic spark timing.

If you have no 18x ignition pulse, you will need to either replace the crank sensor, ICM, or repair the wiring. The 3x and 18x signals are picked up from the interruptor rings on the harmonic balancer by the crank sensor, then passed through the ICM to the PCM, then back to the ICM for spark timing/coil firing.

Ignition Control Moldule. It'* a thin part that sits directly under your coil packs.

A bad balancer shouldn't affect the crank sensor signal. But sounds like a good time to replace it now. Does your engine make a hellacious clatter at idle?

And please please put your year and trim level in your signature.
