just bought about a month ago and noticed the climate control display only illuminates sometimes any thoughts on were to start its really annoying having to leave it on hot when its cold im worried now its goin to stay stuck on full defrost now that it'* becoming warm again lol any help is much appreciated and happy memorial day to all

i have an 07 4.3l gmc envoy and the electronic climate control only lights up here and there and the issue is whatever the thing was set to last is what it will blow i had it set to full blast defrost since its cold in michigan but now that its warming up it doesnt seem to want to light up and when the display isnt on none of the buttons work is this some kind of ground issue maybe or can the unit go bad just wondering have a happy holiday

also ive noticed it will light up below 60ish degrees if that helps

Have you checked the dash light dimmer to make sure it is turned all the way bright?
